Mr. Cavey,

I am a Straight graduate who is happy. I have remained clean since Straight and I have a great relationship with my parents. I married another Straight graduate who has also remained clean and also has a great relationship with his family. However, I do not credit Straight all that much with what I have now. What it did do was give our families some tools that we chose to use to change directions. My life is not perfect nor is my families. We have problems- some of the same problems with each other that we had before Straight. Drugs and alcohol were not responsible for ALL of the problems. And it is up to us now to work through things with each other. I can not imagine my father or my husbands father reacting the way you did to this web site. The language you used is not necessary and calling people names just because you disagree with their point of view is immature. Maybe your attitude is part of the reason why Straight is not open today and why it did not work for a lot of people and their families. By the grace of God, I have what I do today. Through the love of Jesus and from the sacrifice He made on the cross, I have forgiveness from the things I have done and still do wrong. I hope you can find that same love and forgiveness one day.
